Motorail around Europe

    Found the above, might be of interest. Using railways to transport bike across Europe, instead of motorways !!!

    Looked into this myself a while back. There's also a lot of outfits about that will transport your bike to Europe by van/truck though I don't know anybody who has done this.

    Not a bad idea!!! :D
    Looks like taking family to France camping next year, could trailer the bike and go out for rides, sans-family!!! :)

    I can see why this appeals to people.
    We looked into having the bikes trucked to Spain,but the journey down is part of the holiday for us.
    Good if your short of time though.

    Bloody long way there and back from Scotland. Be 1900 miles from southern Portugal to home, which is do-able, but 3800 is a bit too far.
    Would love to ship the bike down, have a week there, then spend two weeks meandering back up through Portugal, Spain and France. My dream trip. Will have to wait till the kids have grown up.
