    Hi All

    I've got an 03 Daytona955i which has developed another electrical problem.

    When I switch the headlight on nothing happens.

    However when I stick the main beam on the lights come on, which obviously rules out the bulbs.

    I thought dip/main may have separate fuses but that doesn't seem to be the case.

    They do have different relays, however when I swapped them to see if I got the reverse effect (dip working main not) there was no change. Which rules out the relay.

    So now I'm thinking that it must be something to do with the switch.

    Just wanted to ask if anyone else had any other idea's before I start pulling the switches apart.

    Cheers

    bad connection, (corrosion) or broken wire. can you run a separate lead to the bulb and try that

    Well it's the least of my worries now as the gremlins were out to get me today.

    LCD speedo acting erratic on the way to work
    Then speedo and rev counter stopped working all together on way home
    Bike started running rough
    Then cut out completely (thankfully just a few streets from home)

    :confused::confused:

    Thats a pain, I would check all the earths, all wiring connectors, all fuse conections, ignition switch and battery connections and the charge to make sure it is not in poor condition.

    Had the bike at a local dealer last month to sort a fuel leak (I wasn't familiar with the fixings)

    They said there was a reg/rec issue so I replaced that .... and that didn't work so had the supplier send me a replacement... seems that there may still be an issue with that one as I've charged the battery and the LCD screen is back up and running as is the engine..

    Ordered a genuine Triumph reg/rec ... hopefully that will sort the charging issue ... so just lights to sort now.
