    Hi all,

i've searched this forum a bit but don't seem to find anything about this topic:
At start (cold) of my speed triple R (2016) the ABS-light comes on untill driving. As it should.
Since a few days however also the MIL and TC light come on, until i drive away. Starting the bike a few hours later on the same day, no MIL or TC lights come on.
Has anyone ever has this, or knows what my bike is trying to tell me? Maybe that the 60.000 km maintenance is long overdue... :) (see other question from yesterday).

    Thanks again!

If the MIL light continues to come on it needs investigating with diagnostics to establish if any fault codes exist. Home software such as Dealertool can do this otherwise it's a trip to the dealer or competent mechanic.

    Thanks X.
I don't have Dealertool (don't have a "smart"phone for that matter), so a trip to the dealer it is if it stays like this.
I read somewhere that it could have something to do with the ridermodes, so i did a round through all of them and see what happens with the lights.

Why are you letting the MiL on your bike? It’s just a warning to keep her away.

Tried it today: MIL still there. Not long, but still, persistent.
I'll take it to the dealer next saturday, see if they can persuade her to get off.

Took it to the mechanic, and of course: no problem then.
I noticed later (back home) that the lights come on when the rider modes "are stuck" (double blinking lights for instance both "road" and "sport"). And: maybe unrelated: the same day my battery died...?
I'll replace the battery and see if the issue still occurs.

I installed a new battery today: the issue with the warning lights did not occur (on start, like it did).
Possibly a coincidence, possibly the solution. So if this happens to anyone: check if the battery is healthy (the old one had only 12.15 V).
