Rolled my Speed Triple out of the garage and there was significant resistance, rear tyre was flat!!!
Fortunately I carry a temporary puncture repair kit and located the pin hole puncture in the center of the tread. Plugged it up and inflated, no problems.

However, the tyre has only about 1mm of usuable tread left and is significantly flattened in the center due to most of my commute being on the motorway. So I have decided to replace them

    180/55/ZR17 rear and 120/70 ZR 17 front
Current tyres are Metzeler M5 on the front and rear and the front still has plenty of life. After about 7k miles
The best deals are for a pair of tyres on ebay so I found a place called Bike Devils in Wales that have an offer on for a pair of Metzeler Z8 Roadtec for £150 delivered next working day. The were molded in 2011 so have been stored for a few years, but I don't see that as a problem.

Reviews are very positive and still the same well known and trusted tread pattern.
I have found the M5s responsive and excellent in the rain, with heavy stopping power on the front giving me excellent feedback and enabling me to really throw the anchors out when needed.
With the Z8 being more touring orientated, I hope for more than the 7-8k miles achieved on the sporty orientated M5's.

Have any of you got these fitted and any feedback?

Just changed my rear Z8 yesterday, 9,800 miles and only as it was squared off due to motorway mileage, excellent grip, control & feedback so I have replaced with the same Z8...front tyre still has a few thousand miles left on it so that will be swapped over later

Had z8's on my 09 good tyre. On my second set of PR 4's.
Might look for something different next time.

Z8's on my Speedy. Love them in the dry, but not fully convinced of wet weather grip. I find myself more cautious than any other tyre I have used. Prob just all in my mind!! I also don't like running them at the specified pressures (Metzeler and Triumph quote the same). 35 psi front and 40 psi rear feels best on my bike. 2800 miles in though and wear is even and minimal.
