Got a sensible quote from MC Edwards which includes break-down cover although the excess is higher, any one know what the break-down covers, cant find anything on line and I don't do phone calls for quotes to insurance companies.
Hasting is better excess and cheaper but no b/d.

Usually just the at roadside bit for most companies. Recovery etc is usually an "upgrade" to it

My thoughts, just to reel you in, then sting you for up-grade.
I'll probably stick with my old company 'Vehicle Rescue' not had to use them for a recovery, but been pretty good on service, took it out on 1 Enfield, changed to another, changed again to the Bonnie, never charged me any admin.
If I go with Hastings the excess is a lot cheaper too, so in the end probably the better deal even with buying break-down separately.
I know one thing.............................Bennets, who are now owned by SAGA aint getting any of it!!!

  7. I got cover through LV and it is a policy called UK Recovery with Personal Cover. It means that it covers me for both our daily cars, the classic car and both bikes. It was by far the cheapest and easiest method of making sure everything was covered. It is also quite unusual as it doesn't mind the classic stuff which a few of the breakdown companies don't like.

That's because they can't plug their computer in it so that it tells them what is wrong :D

Gone with Hasting, full comp.,£250 total excess, only 1 yr NCB for £94.16 which I think is bloody good!
And it covers me to ride other bikes not belonging to me, 1st for me for many years, any one got a '98 'Busa I can borrow?
I had Bennets on previous years but they made such a cock-up when I took last years out, couldn't find the bike model, put it down as a 'Bullet' 350 import which was rejected by the the company, got it sorted after 3 goes only to get a snotty letter telling me the insurance would cease in 7 days 6 months later as it was not paid for as THEY had returned the money on 2 occasions and took it back but not on the 3rd, as far as I know I was riding around with no insurance!!
Also threats to recover for the months I had been riding around!!
One of the girls told my secretary (wife!) her husband wouldn't use Bennets at any cost and she works for them!
Oh well, all sorted now, and that's another bloody Meercat for the collection!
