Hello folks. Good little site you got going on.
I hope to become the new owner of a bonneville se next week. I've got a few to test ride, 2013/14 models.
If anyone has any test ride tips etc then i'd be all ears. I'm not new to riding, ive been riding cbr's for nearly ten years and some old track bikes when i were a lad, but its time to finally go for it and get the bonny.
    Cheers

Hi and welcome - good choice of bike.
Had a 2004 T100 but just bought a 2012 SE last year - fantastic bike. No real tips for the test ride - just enjoy it!
Worst thing about the Bonneville? It's not a sports bike.
Best thing about the Bonneville? It's not a sports bike!

It's too late not to get excited. After reading the forums it sounds like these new bonnies are pretty solid bikes and so I don't really expect to find any faults. Finding half a day for a ride also sounds tricky, i'll tell them the clock broke or summut.

Welcome buddy. All the best with the test ride. Try taking her on roads you know well. That way you get an idea ;)

My local Triumph dealer lets you have at least 2 hours. Because of my shift work, i always go mid week and having the bike half a day is no problem, in fact they encourage it!! :D

    Welcome to the forum Barrie.
    Great choice of bike.
Be prepared to change the suspension though back & front, OEM rear shocks are virtually solid!

I had an hour out in the snow! Not bad, its quite a mental challenge coming off a jap straight4 but i came back with a smile on my face, part fun and part hillarity at some of the handling qwerks...

A couple more bikes to ride but i think im definatly taking the plunge, and getting the spanners out too.
