Welcome in Chris. I think that's a very good choice of bike. Please chuck a picture up of your new baby when she arrives in the Thruxton section
Hi Chris and welcome in. The Triumph Bonneville Thruxton is a VERY nice bike and you will enjoy it lots. You'll probably find that you get lots of attention when you ride your newbie as most peeps like the look of classic Triumphs. Having a classic Triumph is a bit like a blank canvass, there is a world of accessories and modifications available to make her YOUR Thruxton. "8 days and counting......................."
cheers lads really cant wait soon as ive got it im off........... il get some pics up and start making it my own got arrow 2-2 exhaust going on but want to get it mint
Hi Chris I think we all feel your excitement, just don't do what I did on the first day of owning a brand new R1100RT (all £10,000 worth) a few years ago. Went to turn around and only dropped the bugger didn't I? You've never seen a bike picked up so fast in all your life
Hi Chris, I have just joined recently too, picked up my Thunderbird Storm from Youles in Manchester yesterday, all seem very friendly and helpful bunch on here Enjoy your Thruxton and I look forward to seeing the pics Cheers, Tony
One thing I've never been is a Toff. However in the past I did have money and invested it cars, bikes, woman and beer - the rest I wasted !
By 'eck that's some investment. You did say something similar when we met in Leeds just not the new "BMW" !!
Or red Porsche 911 convertible. Or '68 Mustang 351 Mach 1 convertible. Or Triumph Stag manual gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th.
Yes. I used to be very much stronger than I am today. The 911 only weighed 1045 kgs so pretty easy really
Had your bike 4 days now chris. either your embarrassed by it or you love it so much you haven't got off it yet!! Well? which one is it?
