Hi from Malaysia guys... got the STRS two months back and loving it. First big bike for me and been riding like crazy here in KL :)

Have a question, can we fit bar end weights on STRS as it is already fitted with bar end mirrors. If yes, what size should I look for? Is it M8 size? Found some bar end weights/sliders from Sato Racing online. Appreciate the feedback.

Hello Naen and welcome to the Triumph Asylum - Nursie will be round soon with your 'Meds'.

As to your question, I suspect it is unlikely that you will be able to fit bar end weights while your bar-end mirrors are still in place.

If you could post up some pics of your new toy I'll let you know.

Hi and welcome, pop a pic up of your bike, especially if it’s white. o_OAs far as I know the weights are a press fit into the bars as the only bits I removed when I fitted my bar end mirrors weighed next to nothing so the weights should be in there already.

Hi Naen, your bike looks great. You will be able to fit bar end protection but you might need to lengthen the retaining screw a little. As to the size I don't know which it is, but just get a longer one of the same size and that should do it.

If you need any more information, start up a conversation.

Thanks guys... the reason i asked the bar end weights is because i noticed my hands got numb after a long ride, at any speed and every gear. It's more like a buzzing vibration instead of rattling vibration. So I watched few videos on Youtube and found that one of the remedies is to either use bar end weights and/or use gel type grips. Since Sato Racing sell bar end weights (stainless steel), am wondering which size should i pick.

Notice that handle bar sliders in the picture above? It fits with stock bar end mirrors too.

Welcome in. Would have thought it was the internal diameter of the handlebars you would need to know.
Most bar end weights are a crush type fitting utilising a rubber insert that is then crushed by a spacer that is tightened by a bolt bringing the spacer back.

It's called a cramp buster. You rest the heel of your hand on the device. Designed for two purposes. 1: as a method of maintaining steady cruising throttle openings on motorways & on longer rides. 2: enables you to take the pressure from the palm of your hands & relax your grip. I have found it invaluable on my Thruxton R, wouldn't ride without them. Cheap to buy & easy to fit (hint: heat in hot water prior to fitment - makes them more pliable
