So to wax or oil? What is best for maximum performance? What lasts longer? Where can I get some?

    No I'm taking chain care!

I expect this thread to run and run....

Fit a Scottoiler, nothing better in my opinion.
Virtually maintenance free and massively extends the life of your chain and sprockets.

Hi, I use chain saw oil in a Scotoiler, it's designed not to fling off the chain but it does collect muck around the front sprocket.

Another vote for Scotoiler, although at about £100 they are starting to get a bit pricey.

I used a different make of chain oiler on the Tiger - Loobman it's called - not as good as a Scotoiler but a fraction of the price, uses ordinary oil and works well.

    Maybe a group purchase ?
