It is well known that Tiger 1050 lights are a pile of crap. Am looking for decent and cheap solutions. Surprised there is nothing here. Any pointers?

lol, if they come with LED lights...

Seriously, as a GS rider you've probably got a whole Christmas tree on your bike. I know they've got one installed for coloscopies - FACT.

Considering getting myself fog lamps to see more than just a narrow strip ten of road metres ahead of me. Supposed to be a good solution but not the cheapest at £130.

Hi Toad, on your bike do both headlights come on together, on both dipped and main beam? If not there is a cheap and simple mod to "make it so".

Hi, thebiglad. Have you survived your man flu or are you still on the brink?

No, they don't come on together unless of course I go on full beam. Thing is, even that is perhaps enough to read a newspaper but not to ride properly at night. Having said that, let's have your mod!

Hi Toad, sorry if I've misled you as I don't have full details, all I know is that it is a very well-known Tiger mod using relay(s).

    Follow this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIUMPH-SPRINT-TIGER-955i-SPEED-4-TWIN-HEADLIGHT-RELAYS-/180813682079?ash=item2a1955d59f:m:m_ztRlDT8JC0AjE7ow2bJtg

PS Still on the brink - don't know which way this'll end?

Blimey, and I seriously thought your mod was to switch on full beam:D Got myself some fog lights which may shed more light on the road for EUR 150.

Can't wait to fit them and see whether they are worth the money...

In the UK I thought it was illegal to use fogs except in foggy conditions, £30 fine I believe, not well enforced though.

dito here, i.e. illegal when not foggy but I reckon plod wouldn't say anything 'cos it is the only way to get noticed. Seriously, the lights on the 1050 are a joke!

Got them today so will prolly install them tomorrow :)

Interested in how you wired them in. Is there a spare socket somewhere?
