I have a 2011 T-Bird Storm. Can I use LED turn signals without any adaptors/Load Equalizer?
I'm looking at the flat disk style with like 50 LEDS on it wired to a base, kinda of like Custom Dynamics.
I was told to use the 1156 base & trim one of the base tangs/nubs off. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

I’m sure somebody will pass on better knowledge but I thought it’s not just plug and play, you need an adapter of some sort as they will work but won’t flash at correct rate not expensive as far as I know.

They will only work correctly if you already have LED turn signal otherwise you will need an adapter.

I haven't seen a schematic specifically for the Storm, but based on the Std T'Bird/1600/1700 schematic the turns are driven by the instrument panel - this is similar to the Rocket III Touring model i.e. there is no discrete turn signal module/relay that can be swapped out.
The ONLY way to get the correct flash rate for that model is to add parallel load resistors - you only need two, one for each side and can be connected anywhere you choose between the supply line for each side, whether that be from or rear. You need a Resistor (per side) of 8-10 ohms and min 10W (or better) power rating.
