Putting the fuel tank back in the ST. It really seems to have grown somehow. I have zero experience with the "plastic" ST fuel tank. Paying attention to the underside of the tank. It looks clear of hoses and wire harness fowling. Fit front to rear seems off to some degree. All guidance is greatly appreciated.

Common problem with plastic tanks after the introduction of ethanol in fuel. When the tank is insitu it is restrained against swelling but once removed is free to expand and distort due to the ethanol and becomes difficult to refit.

That makes perfect sense. Thank you for the wisdom. Can not say I've ever bumped into this deal. The ST has been really fun bringing it back.
    Thanks again.

The tank is again sitting where it belongs. One more task removed from the list. My takeaway from working on my first Triumph. Easy and straight forward for the majority of work.
