They usually have loads of oil on them. I always let them drain for a day before putting it on the bike.
Also there’s a drain hole from the filter box I always leave that open if I have a K&N filter.

One other thing make sure you don’t throw the old filter out.
Somebikes just don’t get on with K&N or other performance filters.
Keep the old one till you are sure the bikes ok with it.
Also put the sticker in the box that says something along the lines that it’s a reusable filter on the air box.
Once had a garage try to charge me for a new air filter as they threw the K&N out and replaced it with a stick filter despite the sticker being there.
“ sorry mate it looked like a OEM filter” was what they said. Needless to say they had to fork out for a new K&N.

No you just have an expensive rip off merchant near you.

Did you fit a K&N air filter, chiari?
I'd love to hear your opinion or any comments if you did.

    Cool, thank you!
Picking up better at low speeds sounds perfect!
It can be a bit hesitant below 3500k at times.

I have a K&N on my Street Twin. I did add a 'very light' oil spray. No issues. Bike runs great for 4,500 miles now. I have used K&N for 30 years now on all types of bikes with no problems.
