Well I always thought I would never get a camera but enough is enough !
The f@$%€¥% idiots round here have convinced me to get one.
So a Drift Innovations stealth 2 camera has been ordered.
Will just be used as a driving cam but if something interest and only if it's interesting I may post it for your delectation:D

Cant say that I feel I'm being paranoid littleade, just trying to add another layer of protection.
In this case its more to do with the legal wrangling that goes on if there was an incident.
Have been T boned in the past and the sod denied it once the lawyers became involved.
So at least if I have it on film they cant deny it ( I do realise that could well work against me as well ).
At least if it is on video then I have evidence and it isn't a case of my word against his/her etc.

While I agree with the reasons you guy's use camera's I think it's sad that the standard of driving and the general attitude of people when they have an accident is so low that people need photographic evidence of even a quick trip to the shops.

Our new truck at work has 4 cameras and records audio! :(

I know but it's the world we live in ...... Sad to say it's I'm alright Jack ........
It would be nice just to use it for recording a nice ride but for me it's the evidence issue more than anything.
One other thing any one recommend video editing software for Windows 10?

The coach I drive has 8 cameras inside and out. The problem I have is, would you report yourself doing something you would report someone else for?

Most likely not but the way I understand it with cameras is if you are involved in one, the Police have the right to take the camera, memory card anyway as it would be seen as evidence.
I never said anything about reporting people if I saw them driving with a phone etc as I know the police will do nothing anyway.
Certainly following a previous bike theft experience I wouldn't give Cheshire police the time of day.
This camera is purely for evidence of incidents I'm involved in i.e.driver cuts me up and knocks me off the bike type incident.

I have seen instances where some of the drivers have been rescued by the cameras on the bus after false allegations.I must admit I am hung on this issue as I have also seem innocent men suspended and lose their jobs because of cameras.I may end up with one myself and I can also see a point where they are fitted as standard.
Its protection at the end of the day.

Like everything jtd they have their positives and negatives. This week I have had so many close calls it's unbelievable.
So the camera is purely to prevent the situation that happened when I got T boned. At least hopefully the camera will clear show who is at fault.
That make work against me as well as for me. As to reporting people for phones etc nope not me.
I've got better things to do than waste my time with the most useless Police force I've ever come across.

To be honest I've had a few `near misses` from apparently blind road users recently and a cam did pass my mind. Let's be open here, a lot of people would deny any wrong doing if there was no evidence.

I`m with you on this one littleaide, got exactly the same camera + clearwater darla LED driving lamps on the Tiger....damn they are retina burning bright & have definitely seen a reduction in motorists pulling out in front of me + they are dimmable so I keep em down on low to use as a DRL but when in traffic & filtering they are turned up almost full. Jobs a gooden

The dangerous time for bikers in this kind of scenario is when they look at you then look left... It means they haven't seen you at all.....alarms should be sounding to concentrate harder & prepare to take action

Rather than starting a new thread on bike mounted cameras I thought I’d post here, as what I want to ask is relevant to some posts above, and the camera I’m interested in is mentioned by Ade (@litteade).
So, I’ve been trying to research the web but can’t find out what the difference is between the Roadhawk cycle edition and the R+ moto edition apart from the bloody price! They both seem to have the same features in terms of record time (obviously sd card dependant), waterproofing, battery life, size, etc.
Any of you guys and girls out there got any more info you can share to help me choose.
There’s a moto edition on eBay at the mo for £120 and a cycle edition for £60.

Presumably the cycle one only operates on a battery rather than having the ability to be hard wired.

I'm more than happy with my roadhawk - had it hard wired on the Tiger for two years now.

A mate had a bracket on his handlebars.
    I said whats that for?
He says my new super duper camera
...... errm is that a good idea?

Enough said and the bracket disappeared.

Be careful guys, the evidence goes both ways  with a few examples surfacing were you and your mates are reprimanded on YOUR own evidence.
