Was great fun trying to get the air box in! Had to leave the missus to it! I was throwing a proper strop lol
^^^^ Happens to all of us. Sometimes it's better to take a little break n tackle it again Once I snapped a header bolt on my Gixxer. I ran around kicking n screaming at the walls. At the end bruised knuckles, damaged headers, money wasted etc etc
Almost mate, but not quite! There is a small loophole that has been proven. If my insurance doesn't stipulate that the other vehicle has to have insurance then as long as I'm in control of the vehicle it is insured for third party risks as required by the RTA. Had this argument with plod before and he had to get a traffic unit out to check it. The only law with regards to insurance is that third party's are covered. Insurance companies are wise to it now, my current insurance says only if the other vehicle is insured in its own right and I'm not covered on that insurance policy But it will be insured anyway before I go anywhere lol
I have always thought as what DD said that third party to ride other bike is only covered if the bike in question is insured by the owner. It never made any sense to me though. If they are willing to cover you 3rd party then what's the point of whether the bike is insured or not!!! Because they are giving you third party cover. What Dayoshir saying is true a while back.....I knew a guy who bought a banger (Car) for £50 and insured it and drove around in a nice sports car with the third party extension cover!!!! I don't think he ever had any issues
I'm sure this loop hole is well and truly closed now, else only half the stuff would be insured. Every insurer I spoke to recently also read out a new clause about my bike not being insured or only paying out for half its value if stolen within 500m of my property. So seeing as I keep it in a locked garage, it's not insured if it's on the drive being washed....go figure. I guess there's been a spate of bikes being stolen from drives, with owners assuming their safe for the temporary time on the drive and not shackled or disc locked etc
I've been told by the IAM insurers that I might be lucky to find anyone that'll insure my bike as it's kept on the drive!!! Here we go!!
I'll have you know I live in the suburbs!! To nick my bike they have to move the recycling bins then nick the car parked in front of it!!
My mates speed triple was nicked from the drive I can't wait to get a house with a proper garage. You know the whole works. ..electric double skinned doors. Motion sensors, Anchor points etc. The things we had to do to keep our well and truly hard earned pride & joy
