Took Trixie out today, that's what I call my 2010 America and went on the motorway for a short stint.
Now, it's comfortable up to 60 mph but at 70 mph a general vibration starts to appear. Obviously at this point I can't go any faster so I went to the nearest private airfield. Once there I wound it past 70 mph and my eyeballs must have been spinning as fast as the wheels. My sight was a blur and I could not read the speedo. Judging by the area the needle was pointing to I reckon it was indicating about 110 mph. I didn't particularly feel any bad vibration through my hands or feet, or through my arse for that matter. So I was just wondering if any other America riders have had a chance to ride at speed and what your experiences where.

Had The Duchess (at tickover, she goes "potato, potato, potato) up to about 90 also on a private airfield:rolleyes:, no vibration, just lots of wind noise and the noise of a WWII fighter plane behind me, but I think it might have been my short TOR exhausts responsible for the noise ;)

So, to answer your question, no. No bad vibrations felt, all ran well.o_O

Tyres out of balance ???? My KTM has big knobbly tyres that aren't balanced, at 63 mph my vision goes out and fillings start to dislodge

Lol, that might be due to the 6g of force he was experiencing!!!

Thats a good point about the wheels being out of balance, never thought of that. Should be easy enough to get them checked out.
