Hi, just doing the intro bit.
My name is Trev (in case you hadn't guessed from the login name!). Located between Nottingham and Derby.

Just picked up a Tiger 800XC and done just a few hours on her so far. First impressions are good and it feels like it's going to work out!
Also, have a TL1000S which was meant to go to help fund things........but somehow it didn't

Look forward to finding out all the inside tips on this Tiger malarkey.

    Cheers,
    Trev

Hi Trev and welcome to the forum and congratulations on the Tiger 800 XC. Think keeping the TL1000S is a good idea as I can see them being a future classic; with their slightly wild handling reputation and powerful v twin engine.

    I also live between Nottingham and Derby (Ashby de la Zouch) and am picking up my Tiger 800 XC Sat 1st March from Pidcocks Nottingham;

    Cheers

    Richard

What colour have you gone for? You should be able to post photos using the toolbar above where you type, third from right.

Hi Richard, ah you're just down the road. I'm in Donington.

Yeah, I had the same thought regards the TL.......and I love riding it still.....but not on long journeys anymore!

Got mine from Pidcocks and dealt with Curtis. Whole thing went really smoothly. Good guy. Mine's an ex demo. It's that 'funny' green colour. On paper it wasn't my first choice but having seen it in the flesh I loved it.

What colour have you gone for? Bet you're like a cat on a hot tin roof at the minute.

Blimey, posting photos.....I'll give it a go. I've only got one at the moment which was taken when I did the test ride.
It looks black in the photo but it's not. It's also got the taller screen, topbox, heated grips package on.
Looking at end cans at the moment just because I know it's got to happen much as I try to fight it!! So far the Beowulf looks favourite (apart from Akro but that is just too much dosh for me to justify!). Not sure what else I'll do yet.

It may be here, it may not!! Cheers

    Welcome to the Forum Trev.

The 800 Tigers seem to be the bike of choice at the moment.
