Anyone else been in this predicament?

In my 50s and owned bikes on and off since mid 20s, had a few big bikes, RSV Mille and Tuono.

Been out of the scene for several years and got to start from ZERO on no claims.

Bought the Street Triple 675 and surprised at a lot of the quotes, cheapest was £580 which i thought was expensive.

Thing is though, i want a Speed Triple 1200 for weekends and il use the Street triple for commuting.

Anyone know of any insurance companies that are a bit more approachable (for want of a better word).

It used to be the case where some firms would take into account stuff like old copies of renewal notes as proof that you had been insured on bigger bikes. Cant remember who that was though.

Have you tried a comparison site, that might get a few quotes to look at. That's what I did when I came back to 2 wheels with no no-claims, BUT, I was insuring a 500 then a 650, not your more performance related machines!

Hello, yes, i used one of those sites for street triple. There were actually a few companies that would not insure me, which i thought was ridiculous.

Maybe im best waiting until i have a years full no claims before thinking about the 1200.
