Indicators

Hi,
First, excuse my utter ignorance of electrickery.

I have some after market indicators on my 2013 Bonnie which are fine, but for the second time now the rubber stem on one of the rear indicators has broken. I'm looking to replace them and quite like the various bullet type indicators, but the only ones that seem to have long enough wires are single wired, presumably with the earth through the indicator body. My current indicators have 2 wires. Can I use the single wire indicators, just connecting the single wire to the harness and leaving the earth connection from the harness empty?
