Good luck with your search and I hope you find one that suits :)
I think the speed twin is a fabulous machine and I can definitely see myself on one in the future

Welcome to the family. Don't for get to give us your views of the bikes and picture if possible by hitting the upload a file button bottom right corner. Here in the asylum we get very nosy and like pictures so much easier to read.
    Regards
    Joe.

Su n me sold our speed n street triples and have a pair of speed twins, great fun bike but as a minimum you need to get some quality rear shocks on them.

Glad you are well and getting back to the biking. It might be a bit os a distance, but Total Triumph in Taunton have a new red one in the showroom, if of interest. Call Craig if you are interested on 01823 358899. I have the silver/grey ST and came from Speed Triple R and have loved every minute of it. happy hunting and hope to see some pictures of the bike you get.

Rock on. That's a beauty. Best cure for all ailments is a new bike and well it can't get much better. Do enjoy and keep us all informed. Better still let us all see the big grin on your face.

Thank you lads for the compliments, i think this bike is the best modern classic you can get, the Z900rs & Café are nice but the speed twin just looks class, time to find some cans or a 2 into 1 and ditch the cat.

    Darky,
I'm waiting till I've clocked a few hours up on her, the obvious up grade is the Truxton's rear Ohlin's, going from past experiences that if you improve one end of the bike it accentuates/shows up any problems on the other end. i have bought her for A & B road blasts, i will keep her standard till at least I've done the NC500 this year and then asses the handling for my needs, i stopped doing track days a few years ago, and if you have a need for a speed blow out we have some fantastic roads around here

Great news on the bike :) totally agree on the Ohlins but others are just as good for less money, my intention was to do both front n rear suspension after my initial rides on the bike but after fitting the rear shocks that have rebound adjustment as well this made a huge difference in controlling the poor pitching control of the orig rear shocks, moving the rear wheel forwards 5mm with a 1 tooth larger front sprocket and fitting lower risers and dropping the legs through the yokes a tad i now have a bike i'm happy with for very little outlay:)

Can I ask how much you dropped the front end please? I’m looking to quicken up the steering a tad. Also do you happen to know the torque settings for the fork clamps? Thanks
