Hi everyone, I have just joined the forum and am awaiting delivery of a new Speed Twin - my first Triumph in 50 years of riding. I took one for a test ride and was really impressed with both the performance and the build quality. Since 2000 I've had four BMW GSs which I used for commuting into central London from the Home Counties as well as touring Europe. They were ideal for that and the dealers never laughed you out of the showroom when you chopped them in after three or four years with 30,000+ on the clock. However I looked at the Speed Twin because it seemed ideal for my more relaxed riding now I've moved to the North Yorkshire countryside. I've also got a 1999 Fireblade for daft afternoons out.
