I spent a month looking at MIJ bikes, and bought a Triumph after one ride!

Hello everyone. i am a proud owner of a 2010 Street Triple. I looked at a ton of MIJ 600-650$ cc bikes. Some of them were very nice. But, I took one ride on the Triumph and pretty much bought it on the spot. It feels so much better than the "others".
I just want to share with as many people as I can. Its funny I ended up with a bike like this. My main use it to and from work, which is only 5km and about 20 stop signs. I also use it to run to the store...I have three kids so there is always something.
I got a great deal as it came with all the extra trim and three travel bags.
I think my speedometer is defective however....there is no way I could possibly have hit 150km/hr on the way home from the store.
    Cheers!

Hi capnjim, welcome in, congrats on your new ride. You will have to buy your groceries from a store further away or just point your bike in a different direction and ride til your butt goes numb!

Salut Jim, welcome to the Triumph forum - in my opinion one of the friendliest bike forums on the 'net.

Incidentally it would be all too easy to hit 150kph in town with one of these :D:D:rolleyes:

Thanks guys, I have some handlebar risers on the way. I'm not too short, but I think I have shorter than average arms.
I think I might have to re-route the front brake line.

Hi CJ the only thing to watch out for on this model is a small message coming upon the info screen - "the dylithium crystals canny Capt'n !"
