I have been trying to get the front sprocket of my 1997 Triumph Trophy and have snapped the drive chain so I need to work out how to hold the sprocket, I was using a 5 foot scaffold bar as an extension and could not shift the nut, any suggestions please

It is okay I saw the farmer across the road and he leant me his electric impact gun which took the nut off so easily just goes to show if you have the right tools every thing is easy

They are a great tool for removing tight fixings, however don't use it for re tightening the securing nut, I take it being a farmers tool it does not have an adjustable torque setting, if so go careful if you decide to use it for re installation.

That’s great to hear that you were able to borrow the farmer’s electric impact gun and easily remove the nut. Having the right tools can make a big difference. It’s always helpful to have access to the proper equipment for the job.
