Does anybody know if the reflective plastic trim on the front forks can be removed without damaging the forks? I just don't like the look of it.

I don't know the answer but I know fully what you mean about the reflectors. It used to be only imports that had them but whilst in a triumph dealers today I saw lots of new bikes with reflectors on the sides, is it new legislation?

It can and I will be doing the same to mine with some gentle persuasion with a hot air gun on the glue

    Removed mine, easy job.
Borrow the wife's hair dryer, heat up the back of the reflector and lever with a trim removal tool. Rub off the remaining glue and a final wipe down with a dash of white spirit.
Looks much better without them, also "forgot" to fit the reflectors in the tail tidy

I pulled mine off, with just fingers, soon as I rode it home, no hassle, cleaned forks with some meths.

In case anyone thinks leaving them on is a good idea.....look what happens to Showas on Buell XBs if you leave the reflectors on[IMG]

I pulled some fishing line down the fork leg and the reflectors just fell off.

Cleaned the adhesive off of the fork legs with some of the boss's nail varnish remover.

Then 'Mr Popular' knocked the bloody bottle over on the concrete garage floor.

    Cleaned it up nicely though...

Mine also came straight off with a steady pull. Glue remover or petrol will shift any residue
