I’ve been riding on and off since the mid 1970s, mostly Japanese bikes. I returned to Southampton in 2016 after living in Cambodia for nearly 14 years running a Photo and Adventure Tour Company. I am planning on living in UK during the summer months and spending winters in S E Asia where I have a classic Honda Africa Twin to play on. In 2016 I bought a Triumph Sprint GT 1050 as I wanted a comfortable touring bike for the good roads in Europe. To cut a long story short I spent a month in Europe meeting a friend in Prague who has a late model Bonneville. 2 days riding from Caen in Normandy overnight in Koln to the Czech Border proved my choice was awesome 700kms to Koln followed by a day of rain through Germany was quite an introduction to European motor biking after several years riding in Asia. My trip was approx 6000kms through to Czech republic, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovinia and Hungary. Having ridden in Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Nepal; Europe is so civilized. I could write a book about my adventures in Asia! I am looking forward to more moto touring in Europe and UK and hope to be able to share the experience and the technical support on this forum. Cheers Dave
