Gentlemen , I am in the middle of a T300 900 triple Cafe Racer build. I found a smoking great deal on a 4 bank of Keihin FCR 41, most everybody (with good reason) fits the FCR 39 . My question is has anybody had success in using the 41 and just jetting them down? Can this be done or is it just a stupid idea? Great price is $640 I have found 39s in the $900-1200 range.
A guy on one of the T300 forums ( Bob Cornforth I think ) fitted FCR 41's to a T300 that he is drag racing and concluded that the time and cost in getting them to run right wasn't worth the effort and only persevered because he had already paid out for them and that in hindsight would have been better off with the 39's
Thank you, exactly the information I was looking for. 39s can be had for under a 1000 if I keep a close eye and Im patient. That will be my plan.
