How Big Is Too Much?

Gentlemen ,

I am in the middle of a T300 900 triple Cafe Racer build. I found a smoking great deal on a 4 bank of Keihin FCR 41, most everybody (with good reason) fits the FCR 39 . My question is has anybody had success in using the 41 and just jetting them down?
Can this be done or is it just a stupid idea?

I have found 39s in the $900-1200 range.

 

Thank you, exactly the information I was looking for. 39s can be had for under a 1000 if I keep a close eye and Im patient. That will be my plan.
