Just saying "hello" to the forum as a new member and convert to Triumph.

After trying a GS and Africa figured I'd give a T900 a whirl. Returned the GT Pro demonstrator this morning to Youles (of Blackburn and highly recommended) who very kindly let me have one for 24 hours. Stunning bike, very impressed and ticks all the boxes so placed an order + full luggage. Should hopefully arrive by the back-end of May.

Any advice/pointers on crash bars or TomTom Rider mounts very much welcomed :)

Welcome to the forum! Had Yamahas and Hondas before I got my Triumph fix - think I’m hooked now!
Had a Street Triple and now on a Speed Triple.

That comes with a Bluetooth dash, right? You man not need to get a TomTom mount.

Cheers. Yeh, has the bluetooth dash but GPS is turn-by-turn and no map. Would be good to get the TomTom sitting above the dash.

Your’re right - I thought with the big screen and some of the images that it might give more. Has the space too based on this video -

Dedicated sat-nav also a tad more reliable too I suppose if you’ll be doing proper touring on it.

Hi and welcome to the forum
I have the GT Pro and have an Evo-tech mount for my Garmin satnav - I assume they do one for a Tom Tom.
I do use the Triumph GPS, which is turn by turn but it does also give you the road names and roundabout directions.
Been using it a lot more recently and like the fact that it's always on the bike rather than an extra attachment.
The problem is it won't work with every phone. I have to use my older Galaxy A5 as the newer A50 will not connect to it.

The phone app is pretty good as you can keep a log of your trips.

It will also give you access to your average fuel consumption, service due and total mileage.

Welcome to the forum. I've been considering something to sit alongside the Street Scram for longer trips and, though I've not tested one yet, my eye is being drawn to the CRF1100L DCT.

I'd be interested to know why you chose the Triumph over the Honda

I used to ride sports bikes (Honda) and then had a long break whilst my lads were growing up. Now they’ve hairier than me, bought an NC750 2 years ago just to get back into things and change riding position so upright.

Love the riding position, the wife does too, but its not an exciting ride and a little uner powered 2 up with luggage.

Plan was to break with my Honda tradition and go for a GS. Also tried an Arica for comparison but the GS was shining through for us.

i then got into a spot of bother on icy north side of Rivington. Stayed up somehow so dismounted and literally walked the bike 30 yds uphill. If I’d been on GS i would have been committed to go downhill.

Soooo, started to look for something lighter but punchier than the NC that has some bells & whistles too.

Rode the Tiger and just loved it!

Evotech do a very good satnav mount for above the TFT screen. I have my TomTom Rider 6500 mounted on one.

    Much appreciated!!!

Looks great and just where I want the TomTom.

Do you get any noticeable shake/vibration that affects it negatively?
