Hi Just in the process of buying my first Triumph and I'm wondering what would be best . I'm looking at a 2001 speed triple 955i and a 2003 speed four . Any advice would be greatly received Cheers Mick
Hi Mick b and welcome to the forum. Both bikes are fine machines and the obvious difference being the Speed Triple has a 955 3 cylinder engined and the Speed four 600 cc and four cylinder. If you enjoy a higher reving engine light handling and a smaller bike then the Speed Four may be the machine. The Speed Triple will have more torque more power lower reving and gives you the distinctive Triumph triple note. I ride a Speed Triple because it suits my frame being a larger bloke
speed four is a great bike, can be a bargin as they are not as popular as the triples. You may have to rev it to get the best out of them. Look at a daytona 650, more midrange than a 600. have fun hunting
