Hi all, Just joined this forum, looks like a great resource for all things Triumph. I'm no stranger to the brand having owned 3 Street Triples, (first was a standard, last two were R's) and 1 Daytona 675, all great bikes of course. Just sold my crystal white STR today, garage is now very much empty. I've added a photo so you can see what I've been riding the last 3 years! Onto the next one... I've just put a deposit down on a Speed Triple R in grey and should be able to collect from Carl Rosner next week! Not going mad with the options just yet, just ordered the tyre pressure monitors, quick shifter & fly screen visor. I will be changing the pipes but as yet am undecided on whether I like the lowboy Arrows or one of the latest SC Project cans, I will be looking at some YouTube footage to help me decide... Many thanks to Darkman for introducing me to the forum, much appreciated. Cheers. GAJA
Thanks very much for the welcome. I also love photos, tried to upload from photobucket but it's not having it... will try again...
Thanks, he's not just a dog though, he's a Legend and much more loyal than most humans I know! cheers.
Thanks, when the first Street Triple came out I had to wait around 6 months due to the hysteria, that was a wait, I ordered on Monday, collect next Tuesday, walk in the park, have to be honest though and say that a couple of nights this week have been a bit dodgy, can't help but get excited, Christmas comes early!
Thanks! The GS is an amazing bike, I had a 1200 just before the last Street Triple, photo in attachment. I found it one of the best handling bikes I've had, I loved the electronic suspension and different rider modes & auto pre-load which I could change if my wife decided to get on the back, bullet proof quality and kept it's value, sold it for the same price I paid for it 1 year later! I took it to a guru tuner in Leicester, near the Triumph factory actually & he had a very good map for it, went like stink after he did his magic, very fast bike! only changed it because of a concerned comment from a friend. We have one son and the friend pointed out that it was ok for me to die but if my wife also died whilst on the back, what would happen with our beloved boy, it was a very good point as he was 9 at the time. I will buy a GS again for touring, etc when my son is independent/leaves home for Uni, only 5 or 6 years to go... so now I ride solo and can ride what I like until that time...
