Hello to everyone from South Africa. I'm new to the Triumph family but not new to motorcycles. Just got my first Triumph ever (a 1050 ST MY2015) and I love the machine. Don't know what took me so long to come to my senses. I absolutely love it so far ! I look forward to learn and read various discussion, valuable inputs and contributions from members alike.
Welcome in Angus! Did the garden route a few years ago, by car unfortunately, fantastic roads. Are you down that way?
Hi all thanks for the welcome messages ! It is indeed a cracking machine, I had a very pleasant ride out this weekend. The weather is slightly better here yes. I also only did the garden route in a car years ago Crispey and regretfully it is a good 1000km's away from the city where I live. Scottish connections Dougie D.... you might say a few hehe !
Thanks Wayne, I am sure I will. I know jack about them, but I am eager to learn. I read a scary post somewhere on the forum earlier where another member had nothing but hassles with a clutch problem so much so that he said he was going to sell it. Hopefully they are not too temperamental. I believe the Triumph dealer where I bought it from is a top lad and will look after it properly when ever it needs work done. That coupled with proper personal care should make things pan out fine. By the way I'm from Gauteng in the East side of Jhb if you're familiar with.
Im sure your bike will be fine Angus. Never been to Jhb but i beleve its worth a visit. My brother in law is from Zimbabwe but now lives in the UK. His family is still out there. They were telling me about the money situation out their. Pretty crazy it seems.
