    Hi Guys,

This may seem a little silly, but I can't get my wheels clean.
They have white stains on them which look to me like water marks, runs etc but are impossible to remove. They have been like this since I got the bike, (nearly 2 months now), and get worse every time I try and wash them.

Does anyone know how the hell I can clean this off?
I have attached a photo of the back wheel, the front is pretty much the same.
I am at my wits end! I have tried almost everything apart from buying a new set of wheels, which might have been cheaper!

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like a vicious pressure washer detergent or alloy cleaner that's been on too long. Problem is the only way to remove the marks is to polish with abrasive like t cut but as the fashion these days is to go Matt/ satin looking it'll just put a shine on them!! So the answer is shiney wheels or repaint

    Thanks Tig,
I'm not normally one to follow the trends - If I think it looks good then it looks good. An abrasive polish may be the way forward, plus it would make it stand out from the crowd that little bit more :D

As a light abrasive polish I use a dab of Solvol Autosol mixed in with AutoGlym which may just be enough to remove the staining whilst retaining the surface finish. Another approach may be to wipe over the entire wheel with GT85 which could darken the surface and add a sheen to help conceal the staining?

Mer car polish is slightly abrasive and will make the wheels slightly shiny :cool: - well, it did on my Daytona when I had it! :) Looked nice (in my opinion!:p).
