    Hello all,

    Looks a great forum so I'd like to join as I've just placed the order for my new Thruxton:)

    It's silver and I take delivery next March 2017:eek: I could have had it earlier but it would just have been sat in the garage until spring, getting older.

    I part ex'd my Daytona with a good deal. Hand over the keys tomorrow, last blast before I do though.

    A new Thruxton eh? Very nice too. If it's silver does that mean it's a R? Go on, say it's an R - the most beautiful bike currently in production imho.

    welcome. You do know the silver Thruxton will be old hat by 2017, it will have been superseded by a blue one:cool:

    thebiglad, yes it's the R.
    I took one for a test run last week, 60 miles, I never wanted to give it back.

    Crispy, i'll just have blue stripes put on.

    Tigcraft. I spent most of last year unable to ride, knocked off by a hit and run driver.
    So I'm getting used to waiting.

    At the moment I'm Spending most of my spare time watching and listening to them on you tube.

    I've always wanted a Thruxton and so I finally decided to give it a go. I should have test ridden one much sooner!

    I get my R tomorrow afternoon . Been waiting since June. Sold my own bike in July and twiddle my thumbs since.
