    Hi all,

So i took the plunge and got my first Triumph this weekend. Upgraded from a Bandit 600 to a sweet 2006 plate 955i in scorched yellow with only 11k on the clock. Have been out a lot at various times this weekend (who wouldn't when you have a new toy!) and my god, what a difference. From the singing of the tripple engine to the throatiness of the race can. I love it :) 20160702_115210[1].jpg

What a beautiful colour! It's the fastest i believe. ;)

I have owned that particular model, and can vouch for it's all round ability. Great bike, and sounds awesome at full chat. 11,000? Barely run in...

Welcome, enjoy the forum, and the bike.

Hello & welcome. Good choice. Only had my '03 Speed Triple (first Triumph) a couple of months but am loving it especially since setting it up to my liking.

I think you are right about the colour Bob, was yellow but goes so fast it became scorched yellow haha :p
Shamus - I have to engineer the seat I know that much epsecially after the comfort of a Bandit saddle!
    Thanks Crispey

Hi chap, nice machine, not my style anymore, (far too old and creaky for a sportster). Enjoy:)

I hear what you say about the seat but in all honesty I've only found it uncomfortable if doing 70+ miles on a motorway, rest of the time it's not too bad. Other than that no aches and I find it really comfortable to ride whether cruising or scratching. Saying that I did come from a ZX7R so a torture rack would have given more comfort.

Yeah that's true. Only noticed it on longer runs (done about 5 in the last 2 days of 50miles each ride ) but not noticed on short runs. Being a lwt (limp wristed tw*t) and only ever rIden sports tourers and this being my first super bike (I know, I left it a bit late at being 50 haha ) I have noticed my palms ache quire a lot though.

Steve the joy of ride you forget the discomfort just means a stop gap in your journeys to have a stretch, welcome to a excellent and friendly forum you will enjoy it.
