New to Triumphs but not motorcycle, although it’s been around 15 years since my last one. Picking up a Thruxton RS in two weeks and already have a couple things to add to it…heated grips, rear spools and short levers…plan on getting Free Spirits X-Pipe and either the British Customs GP canisters or Vance and Hines, can’t decide. Live on the East Coast (Virginia, USA). Peace!

Greetings, Ge, and welcome to the forum! What year is your Thruxton RS? We're looking forward to seeing some photos of it when it arrives. :)

It’s a 2020. As mentioned, I’ve been without a bike for little over 12 years, which being bike less isn’t unusual for me this is the longest period. I typically get one, ride it for a few years and for various reasons stop riding as much, then sell it, only to get another a year or two later. Love the looks of the Café bikes and almost purchased a Thruxton R year or so back (thankfully I didn’t) and even attempted to turn a BMW 75/5 into a café, but it had title issues and after a month or so of dealing with the DMV, I threw in the towel and parted it out. So here I am…be picking it up on the 9th and MUCH to my SCHAGRIN I must haul it home, and it will have to wait a day before I can get on it to ride…like Christmas morning waiting for your parents to get up so you can open presents. Pictures will be coming, so hold tight. Peace!
