Hi guys 'n' gals. Just introducing myself. Live in Valencia, work out of UK. I have a 2015 Triumph Tiger XCx and I use it (as much as I possibly can) on a variety of roads, routes and tracks. Only done about 5k miles so far and I haven't taken it out of Spain yet.

Not massively experienced on big bikes although I have had them on and off since I was 16 (51 now) but mainly enduro bikes. This is my first big tourer/adventure bike.

Love it but it has one or two very annoying design faults which are hard, if not impossible, to remedy. But hey, what bike doesn't?

    That's all.

Thanks, hopefully he'll see it at some point. I won't be near my bike until Sunday earliest anyway so no rush.

    Cheers

Hi welcome,i hope you have a lot of fun on you're new toy! I've been to Valencia several times for the moto gp, brilliant atmosphere there and without a doubt the best viewing circuit there is. and what about those science buildings in Valencia my favourite has got to be the one that looks like some sort of futuristic helmet with the floating bit on top! i have been known to frequent the little bar beside the rail station..cheap as chips

Thanks guys. Yeah La Ciudad de las Ciencias. I haven't had the pleasure of the circuit on Moto GP day. I went in Oct about a week before to see a friend race in some local heats but I didn't get to the big race to see the battle between Rossi and Marquez that day. I was working but even had I not been, I had no hope of getting tickets anyway. Must try harder next time.

Hi Crispey, well if I tell you that I am probably an inch too short myself and that I have dropped the bike twice already..... but I really wanted that WP suspension and once you go for the XC, then it wasn't much more to go for the "x" as well.

Good picture. Typical bluesky day. The science museum isn't up to much but the aquarium is very nice if you haven't seen it. Better than the London one but not as good as some of the American ones. Sadly it's a little tattier these days because there isn't the money to maintain it as well as they'd like but only in parts.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I went for the XRx - the XCx felt a bit too tall for me.
    Still dropped it once though!

I don't really have any "issues". Just things I that I think (in my opinion) could be improved. For instance It would be nice if, like on BMW's (some, not all) they offered a spare plug in which you can plug accessories that are switched.

The brakes could do with improving but not by much, just a little; they need too much force from your hand. A bigger disk would probably do it.

There is no subframe so if you have a serious OFF and bend the footpegs at the rear, you will bend the chassis as well.

It's a little top heavy but no more than some, i guess. Once you get used to it, though, extreme cornering does come. However it's not something I do very often unless I'm protected to the eyeballs with my Point Two air-jacket on and all my other gear. It's not a light bike, if you slide at speed, the inertia will be difficult to cull.

Little things, really, and certainly nothing that adds up to very much.

On the other hand I could reel off any number of things that are great about the bike too; flexible engine, good equipment level, WP suspension is top! I have been given a loan bike whilst mine was in for service and I certainly really notice the difference. Others don't so much but you have to ride it for a while to appreciate the difference, it just soaks up everything and very easily set up.

    Good on fuel.

Comfortable on a long ride. Done a couple of 12 hour marathons and I won't say I was "alive with the sound of music" afterwards but I wasn't too bad. My nuts were numb but what idiot stays on top of his bike for 12 hours and 600 miles? Numbnuts like me, I suppose.

    That's all.

    HTH.
