Hello everyone New to Triumphs, my dad has a 1994 Daytona I have recently acquired a 1992 Trident 900. My previous bike is a Bandit 400 and though I really like it, it is physically too small for me (as I found out riding to Cornwall and back) Does anyone know what the actual colour of this bike is? where can I obtain the paint code if there is one? Here are some pictures
There is a page somewhere which lists all the colours. Buggered if I can find it now... Welcome in. Nice looking bike that. Bob
Ahhhh! Another member with excellent taste! Welcome to the mad house. Your bike is both splendid and maroon. Is this helpful? Thought not! My bike is both splendid and black (with a bit of red thrown in for good measure). I guess this is not helpful either. Sometimes I am a useful member of this 4um. Mostly I am just old! Hey ho! Enjoy your time with us.
Hi Kelvin and welcome - nice looking bike there mate. Re the colour, isn't there a paint code label under the seat?
Hi welcome in You can find the range of colour codes here it doesn't help finding your specific colour but I'm sure someone will
The other thing is if it isn't under your seat you can take a panel down to an auto sprayer and they can scan it and give you a match
The only red I see for that model is Cherokee red candy but can't find anything in that colour to check!
Hi Kelvin, welcome to the madhouse! Nice set of pics there, keeps us all happy (mainly because everyone is old and can only see the pictures and not the words!!) I would say your bike is burgandy colour. Have fun
Hi guys Thanks a lot for the warm welcome, great to be here amongst others who like similar bikes. I checked rs paint and got the same result with Cherokee red candy and just wanted a second opinion especially as rs paint is quite expensive! More updates to come when it arrives - hopefully not too long ! Kelvin
Thanks for the confirmation, definitely will be giving it a good clean when I get it! I would like to get speed triple clip on drop bars, maybe change the yoke to the later black one with triumph stamped on it (are they interchangeable?) and some sportier exhausts, most of these mods will probably be next year now as the days are getting colder and more miserable. Nice to see another Kelvin on the forum, and one in North Wales! Kelvin
Hello Yes, the Sherpa is a good machine, haven't used it for a good few years properly to be honest, I really would like to strip it back and paint the frame white just like the very last ones. I'll get some pictures tonight and post them up.
