Hello, Jason here from Red Feather Lakes Colorado (2 Hours NW from Denver 8000 ft high) in the mountains, lots of twisties, not a lot of people. Perfect. Joining you guys as I am awaiting my 2021 Speed Triple RS 1200 which I ordered almost immediately after release... I have been riding since 2009, and have owned many bikes over the years. Currently I ride a 2009 Buell XB12R which I love and will never get rid of (Stupid I know, not the fastest, best looking but somehow that tractor engine in an amazing chassis stole my heart...) I also ride a 2020 Kawasaki KLX300r in the dirt (usually putting along really slow next to my kids Suzuki drz-50) but every now and then I get into some great trails around here. I am looking forward to learning about and modifying my bike with you guys, I do my own work, I mentioned I am into Buells right?... no other way. Right now I am just a commuter with the occasional full day ride, and once a year or so I do a 3 day trip on wheels. I am geared up for trackday adventures as soon as normality hits... Thank you for having me, I hope to contribute as much as I will take, Jason Leverton (Levertoon)
Hang on to that Buell, I always thought they were a good looking class act. I would've bought one but they were just much too weenie for me. I took one out for a test ride from our local shiny shop dealership and the Admin Staff took a picture of me on it. I looked like I was on a roller skate. It's a shame HD binned them. Enjoy the Trumpet when it arrives and watch out for those nasty Deers. Welcome my man.
Hi Jason and welcome to the forum always liked the look of a Buell and a few mates have them. Enjoy your new ride
Levertoon. Great intro fantastic picture lovely beastie. You will fit right in here in the asylum. The inmates do like black bikes on of the favourite colours. Joe.
Ha! I'm 6'4"/ 165 lbs... I look ridiculous on the Buell with such a short wheelbase... but I am always smiling- Then again I look ridiculous doing anything... Thanks for having me guys!
Fantastic part of the world to live. When are you expecting your new Speed Triple to arrive? I have one on order in the U.K. Can’t wait!
I honestly have no Idea to be honest, I heard on 3.2.21 to pull my money out "it'll be here next week", well that was 4 weeks ago and the latest word is Customs, Corona, delays.... I do have a nice little stack of parts starting to show up (from Triumph themselves)... but no word on bike yet.
