Hi all. So I just joined the forum as I am getting my 2000 Speed Triple on Thursday. I'm very excited and hope to frequent this forum regularly. I had a 2004 special edition murdered-out version that I sold in 2007 and have pined for another Triple since. I hope I've got a good one - 14000 miles, I'm the 3rd owner, all the Triumph books etc, working alarm, 2 keys and with full stamped Triumph service book too. Even has the original warning labels attached. Almost completely standard apart from crash bungs and an odd fly screen (that will be removed or get replaced with a black one). Happy days. Cheers, Wilko :)

Thanks guys. Although as a cyclist I'm not sure I'm really that welcome after reading the 'cyclists' thread in the discussion forum! :)

Truly Wilko it depends on how you ride your bicycle and how you interact with other road users.

    "Innocent until proven guilty".

If you had the good common sense to buy a lovely bike like the one you've got, you can't be all that bad :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Well there's definitely a small percentage of cyclists that can give the rest of us a bad name, same as bikers really!

Cheers all, I'm feeling the love for my new Triple, just can't wait to ride it when I get it Thursday. Then it'll be straight back on here for a 'what tyre' thread, ha ha :)

I know how he must be feeling. I put down my deposit on a Saturday n next morning I had to train it to Liskeard from London. I couldn't sleep that saturday night n I struggled on Sunday riding back from Liskeard to London in a pissin rain. Still I had a big grin on ;-)

Love speedies too. I just missed a beaut last week, was gonna treat myself. Fixed up a viewing and during that day a guy came in and paid up front without seeing the bike face to face. Gutted aint the word.
Gonna wait till winter now and see if anything comes up. Got to have one,
Good luck,I am truly jealous of you.
    I wouldnt sleep a wink either,lol
