I've had HID headlights on my last 2 Kawasaki's and found them excellent especially at reducing folk pulling out on me and me been visible. I wanted to do this mod on my 03 Speed Triple but found the chrome bowls did not offer enough room to fit the H4 Hi/Lo bulbs in the kit. I had a look at the Cree Led's but again felt they were too bulky to fit in the bowls.

So I had a look at the basic LED H4 bulbs that are just a basic swap. I didn't expect anything special after ordering 2 from Chinkyland for a total of £11 delivered but even a whiter light would have been an improvement. Received and fitted today and I was pleasantly surprised for the money the improvement in both colour and light output. Well impressed.

Bulbs I've been using and the new LED ones

That's great news Shamus but don't be too surprised if they don't last that long. If they fail, try Osram Nightbreakers or some name similar. They are a std. H4 fitting but much brighter than std. halogen bulbs and they do last.

Will be interesting to see their longevity. For £11 I figured they were worth the punt.
