Hi folks having a problem with my headlight connector while changing a bulb, noticed it has burnt itself out and need to know is it a straight replacement or is there a bigger electrical problem behind it. All advice welcome thanks

Those usually burn out because they do not fit tight. The loose connection causes resistance in the circuit which in turn creates heat. A simple replacement should do the trick. Just make sure you are using the correct size [wattage] bulb. That can also cause overheating. ...J.D.

It’s possible that the burnt connector could be a result of a bigger electrical problem. It’s a good idea to have a professional mechanic inspect it to determine the root cause and ensure a proper replacement. They’ll be able to provide the best advice and guidance. Stay safe on the road.

Well. I COULD bill him for my time, but I am retired now. Current shop time is about $60hr. where I live. ...J.D.
