Hi guys. I'm new here and after owning my speed triple for just over 2 years with one off on her a year ago. Today I realised that my confidence has been shattered and over the last month or so I became slightly bored of riding. Since realising this I have been trying to sort it out and I really want to try something new. It has been on the cards for a while which is probably the reason for finding her not as exciting to ride these days, so here is what I'm thinking. She's a 2014 matte caspian blue speed. And when I bought her it was when triumph were doing the whole 1500 pounds of freebies (even though the bije was £1500 cheaper the year before. I know this because I got a street triple the same time a mate got a red speed.) So when I had my off everything was how I got her but I added oberon bar ends. And since that, the company fitted black bars and the triumph Rizoma mirrors. So again, a year practically passed and I ended up fitting the Sp engineering can that I bought for my old street triple. I'm going to fit a tail tidy, integrated tail lights and try to get some flush fit front indicators. Oh and I am looking at a pressed licence plate...

anyway, th reason behind this post. I personally think that the headlights and fly screen are far too high and I want a change in riding position so want to fit clip on bars (ones lower than the top yolk.) The whole front end lowered by around 4 inches or 100 mm and clip ons I think will set the side profile nice, flush and flowing. I know from speaking to guys on Facebook that the 2011 onwards street triple front subframe fits the speed and lowers it by around 50mm. But as I said I want more and I have come to you guys wondering if you could help me out with which clip ons to buy and if possible a good sight for a custom front subframe bracket.

Thanks for your help in advance
    Nathan

I came off last year and understand it can take a while to get some confidence back. A change of tyres and a service can do wonders for your self confidence! If I was doing this (and it might be on the cards in a few years) I would kill several birds with one stone and go down the Daytona 1050 route with 675 Daytona fairings, clip-ons and rearsets. Thing is, I had the 12k service done 2 weeks before my accident and the dealership failed to do 2 things at that point. Grease the head race bearings and grease the rear hub. Turns out that my head race bearings were actually knackered which triumph replaced under warranty. And since then I have had the 18k service and a new rear tyre.

I have seen that 1050 daytona before. Not exactly my cup of tea but it is that thing that triumph seem to be missing...
