    Is that an Emco lathe?

    Here's mine, a Boxford 250.

    You have a proper lathe! I bought my Emco 49 years ago with my first pay cheque... and never regretted it!!

    Mine cost around £2500 new back in 1985, I have the receipt somewhere.
    I purchased it some years later and added the dro.
    Its funny how it goes but don't you find you get a lot of jobs for it over a few weeks then it sits dormant for a while?

    I've made all sorts on it and the most bizarre was a 46mm nut x 1.0 mm pitch, but left hand, for a machine at work. They said we can't get spares for this Hungarian machine as we've tried in the past and we never had a nut to go with this attachment, you any ideas?
    Yep, pay me normal hours and I'll bring you one from home?
    :joy::yum

    100% agree! It's like a spare wheel - not always in use but always there!
