Handlebar clamp removal

    Can anybody tell me how to remove the chrome looking small covers over the fixing bolts for the handlebar clamps on a mag wheel 2014 Bonneville?
    It seems rather difficult to do without damaging the black paint on the clamps.
    Thanks for any replies.

    Do you mean the caps over the clamp bolts? It's a case of a small screwdriver, wrap with electrical tape with just the edge uncovered to get under cap
