Hi Grand 54 IMHO a speed triple is happier sitting 70 plus, A Bonnie might be a better bike or one of the cruisers ie America/Thunderbird

The suspension on the speed triple is firm (and you cant really soften it much),so if your'e just bimbling along you WILL feel every bump in the road, the suspension works a lot better if you go faster

Hi there Grand54, I last had a triple in 2003 until 2007. The best bike I ever had and that's why I have order a new one. Go test ride, it's like any bike you gotta be steady with your right hand. ;)

i'm not sure what the suspension is like on a 2005 plate so getting a test ride would be a good idea, they are great bikes and you can get risers to make it more comfortable at slower speeds

you probably would sit further back but also there would be less weight on your wrists if your'e sitting below 60,yeah i had an early blade great bike,i think my speed triple has firmer suspension though..or maybe i just feel it more now!

All you need is a bit of good weather, but don't worry from 1st September it will be warm and sunny for the entire month !!

is that 2600 miles or 26k miles? if it's only 2600 i would change the oil and filter if it's not been done recently, and you might be looking at a new battery,if you don't have a battery optimizer it would be a good idea to invest in one
