Back home safe and sound. Rich accompanied Judith and myself and then set off for home after a coffee break.

Thanks to everone who made this a GMU a great success.

Good to meet up again - thanks to everyone for organising food and rideouts and everything. Bloody loved it!

Good run down to South Wales via the rest if the Elan Valley reservoirs, apart from last bit of dual carriageway. Rode round the centre twice trying to find where I'm staying.

Now at The Goat Major with my son and daughters boyfriend. (Geting right on it!)

Followed my SatNavigators (aka Rooster and Mrs Rooster) to theirs for a cuppa before wending my way home the scenic route via a bunch of nice back roads - all on the tank of fuel I bought in Llanidloes with 21 mikes to spare. Surprising how the fuel economy improves when you keep near the speed limit. Might try that little trick again. Stopped off at the club house for a pint and a half of ice cold mood enhancer before completing the last couple of miles.

Big thanks to everyone who went the extra mile to organise and cook and route plan and just help make it such a brilliant GMU. You know who you are. We love you.

How does this work then - I did 115 miles on a tankful (best ever), this was mainly at 70 mph on the 60's in Wales, then 85~90 on the motorway. Fuel light came on as I rolled into the services (well pleased with that), put in 11.66 litres. That is 45 mpg, I usually get around 35mpg just riding around normally (well, as normal as you can ride a mad bastard bike like a Tuono:confounded:).

So from now on, I'm saving fuel and riding everywhere at least 85mph !!!!:p:laughing::joy:

Edit - check out the time, my till reciept from llanidloes says 9:12, and I stopped to chat to Rooster for a minute or so!!!

(I like to think me owning Land Rovers, a litre bike and a 2500 Turbo petrol car has all contibuted towards global warming, just look at the beautiful weather we have had this weekend, I like to think I've done my bit to help :p)
