    I am thinking of buying the above to pack my helmet in when off the bike, but what base plate would I need to fit to the XRX ?

    Have a look at www.triumphparts.gbr.cc and go to the 'hard luggage' section - an adapter plate is listed there, but whether or not it is the one to fit you bike you will have to check. It does say it is for a Tiger 800 - £79.
