I found this on the net a couple of weeks ago and posted it on a triumph group on FB a few days ago. Thought some of you would get a chuckle out of it.
what most girls know about bikes can be written on a back of a postage stamp but then again maybe they are right is a Harley cool
I hired a Road Glide for a weekend while working near Atlanta. Nice bike, very comfortable, etc, but, it would have been easier to get an oil tanker round some of the roads.
i've got a fat boy and it takes a few hundred miles to get used to the handling you have to approch corners differantly from most other bikes and not go in to tight, also counter stearing more helps, the only time i have to really slow down is very tight bends, it's the only bike i've ever had where i've been happy to sit at 50/60, but it will cruise along at 80/90 in it's element,.. if you take it much over a ton it's not so happy!
yeah they don't like getting hussled,i'm kinda addicted to harleys now first one was an fxdx which had a lot more ground clearance so it would keep up with most things (it had a stage 3 mind you) kept it for 9 years then got a night rod special that was great but seemed to eat the 240 back tyres pretty quick i also was disapionted in the finish and the shocks were gone3 after 10k! although the engine was a peach
