Lochnagar Crater. The British dug tunnels from a nearby wood and set off 60,000lbs of high explosive under a German camp on 1st July 1916, the first day of the somme.

This is Deborah D51, featured in the programme made by Guy Martin where he built a replica. This one was found in a field in 1998 and kept in a barn for years before this purpose built museum was constructed. Curious memorial to the 63rd Royal Naval Division, my granddad's unit, who fought a battle here in April 1917 forcing the Germans out of the town, Gavrelle, pushing the line back several hundred metres.

Cheers, the tank museum was pretty good, got to meet the bloke who found it and saved it for us all to see in this new museum for the (not) princely sum of €6. Seeing us in our bike gear he came over to chat to us and was very entertaining, nice chap.
