Phew .. thanks for that, I've felt so alone all these years ! Hey, thanks to everyone, due to stumbling across this forum, after tearing hair out over the bikes electrical problem, checking what I can with my limited electronic knowledge (haha, further down the line, I may be able to send pictures of the 1200 Trophy project with magneto off a V4 mercury outboard .. simplicity !!) ... there was an excellent post regarding chaffing of the wiring around the steering head .... who would have thought, eh ? Crossed fingers as to something so simple ... !! Thanks again to everyone .. and hopefully I can also give a little advice in future. See yez.
Hey ..hey ... pulled right-hand headlight off to have a look ... and it come on ... ALONG WITH THE IGNITION !!!!!!!!!! Yep .. just as whom ever posted about the wires from the switch chaffing around the steering head .. VIOLA ! Seems this happened in the past sometime, the slightly non-factory electrical taping being the give away .... hahaha. .... and ... and .... a perfect autumn morning .... see yez.
