I have a pair of R&G bar ends for my 2012 speed triple, when trying to remove the standard bar ends the whole threaded bit that the bar end screws into comes out as well, how do I get the bar end screw out of the main threaded bit??

    Mine did that.
I just used some grips to hold the treaded bit(with some rag around it to protect it)and the screw came out OK.

Yep - common on S3's, Wind the threaded 'holder' out and put some thread lock on and wind it back in - leave a day or two in this weather and try again. The bar ends should come out and leave the holder in place. Triumph seem to love thread lock aswell as spray grease!

Yep same problem on both my wife's Street Triple and my Speed. As said above I held the alloy threaded bobbin in the vice between rags after soaking in penetrating oil, then turned forward and back till they freed. Ended up tapping out the bobbins on the Street Triple to next size up and using new screws!

  5. If you roll the grips back a few millimeters you will see two holes in the top and bottom of the handlebars. The bar weights click into these holes. Simply push something in each hole and with your third hand! pull out the bar end weight assembly and get it in a vice to hold it properly.
